Job Description
As a Junior Copywriter reporting to the Content Lead, you will be responsible for creating compelling, engaging, and educational written content to be used across various channels to effectively communicate our brand messaging, strategies, product launches, and initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate, creative, and detail-oriented individual to work on a variety of tasks, such as marketing emails, product copy, educational blogs, social captions, and much more.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with marketing teams to align email campaigns with overall marketing strategies.
- Create weekly email campaign copy that aligns with the marketing calendar and follow the strategic briefs provided
- Create copy for email-triggered flows to follow strategic initiatives
- Create engaging and persuasive content for various channels, such as advertisements, websites, social media, email, and more.
- Identify and understand the target audience to tailor messaging accordingly
- Maintain consistency with brand voice and tone in all communications
- Work collaboratively with the social media and SMS team to ensure cohesive messaging across all platforms
- Work closely with the brand and content team to ensure email briefs and designs follow brand guidelines. Review and feedback accordingly.
- Create attention-grabbing and relevant subject lines to increase email open rates
- Focus on creating engaging content that leads to a specific CTA or conversion - testing elements to determine the best conversion
- Set up, test, and send all email communication to customers - ensuring to optimize for mobile devices.
- Meticulous attention to detail, especially in proofreading and editing to ensure error-free content.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in email marketing.
- Track and analyze key metrics such as open rates, click-through rates, and conversion rates - using a Monthly KPI dashboard
- Use data insights to refine and improve future email campaigns, and share findings with the team.
- Test and implement new ideas to improve email performance.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions to develop innovative and effective messaging strategies.
Qualifications
- Exceptional writing skills. This includes a strong command of grammar, punctuation, and syntax.
- The ability to craft persuasive and engaging content that aligns with the brand's voice - examples would be appreciated.
- Experienced with Word/Google Docs
- Familiarity with Email Marketing Platforms and tools, such as Klaviyo
- Work efficiently to meet tight deadlines and deliver high-quality content on schedule.
- Manage time effectively, especially when handling multiple projects simultaneously.
- Additional skills and competencies:
- A degree in Marketing, communication, journalism, or related fields.
- Interest or experience in the beauty and fashion industry.
- Familiarity with project management tools (e.g. Asana and Miro).
- Knowledge of AI tools
